heyy dudes ( and dudettes? )
got my manifold a few days ago, its a 45dcoe manifold from holley distributors ( also a redline supplier )
anywhoo, my mikuni solex phh40's go on just swell, two thumbs up!
the problem is! the manifold doesnt clear my extractors, where it mount the manifold is too wide and the exhaust is too wide!! so tomorow, out come the grinder!! =] otherwise, filled them up with petrol and started it ( need a t piece so both carbs can get fuel! ) and started it with no exhaust, much to the neighbours disgust!
now im waiting on a new set of throttle shaft seals, should be here any day!!
PART 2!!
the carbies came off a 2 litre motor, and jets would be hard to come by yea? im thinking if i ran a methanol mix, would this fix a tuning issue? ( since you need about 1.5x the amount of methanol compared to petrol )

Congrats on getting it running! Manfold and header clearance is quite common everybody uses a grinder.
Nah, 2-liter engine will use the same jets as 1.2 engine in some cases, and somewhat different in others. The jets control a ratio of air/fuel, not based on engine size. A/F ratio is 12:1 to 14.7:1. Differnces in the cam, head, exhaust, etc. can mean slightly different jets are needed. See how it runs it will probably be OK with the same jets, then you will just fine tune the jets for your engine.
But no where near the 1.5 ratio difference of alchohol. You WILL have to change the jets to run alcohol.
