Hi, was just wondering if there is anybody out there that has done it, will be doing it, would just appreciate some tips in the Distributor department, was thinking of using a L28 distributor, will it work? Have had no luck finding a Saudi distributor. Have heard of people making their own setup with a PERTRONIX electronic setup. Pics and tips are greatly appreciated.

great motor vg 30, thirsty but bulletproof.

Still why would u do this? did the vg 30 ever come out with carby? a holley 4 barrel around 750cfm would be good but good luck making a manifold to work.

What's the problem with the distributor? When you're changing a modern(er) motor from injection over to carburetion you'd want to use an ecu that offered ignition only mapping as the carbies deals with the fuel. I'm sure I've heard Haltec have one.

that looks like a 2 barrel, u want a 4, it would flow enough easily even stock, then u can always go further with it.

carburetor is simple, but how does a guy switch the distributor to old school with no CPU. Can I use the L28 distributor? I saw a kid on youtube put a vg30 in his 510, carbed and used a pertronix manetic pic up. but he won't reply to my questions.

He's a 510 owner :P So you don't have any distributor, did you have any of the engine wiring harness? If it was an electronic distributor it'd need the little control box like some of them had or if it's like my nifty N12 pulsar one that'd be inside it.
