I'm putting back together the rear end assembly & got to the install of the rear wheel cylinders & I must be missing something really simple but I cant remember how I removed the slide clips that hold the cylinders to the backing plate. I put the cylinders on w/the e-brake arm through the plate but cant seem to figure out how to get the clips past the e-brake arm.

I know it sounds stupid but can someone explain how to install the clips properly, or better yet a pic's showing how.

much appreciated!

I believe you just remove the parking brake cable from the wheel via a pin. Then you should be able to get in there. And yes they are a B**ch to get back on.

the FSM says they're supposed to have some slide ability & that has to so with the shoe returning properly. My question is whats the technique for putting the 3 clips back on?

I should of taken a pic when I took it apart but didn't, anyone got a tip on the re installing the clips please?

all right since no one's provided me with the easy answer I fakred around till I figured it out. You know the ingenuity of the design is quite good & really simple (if you pay attention to how one removes them ). I probably wont forget again!
