Anyone here used the Addco sway bars for the 1200?

I see they make a 22mm front and 16mm rear for the B110, just wondering if anyone has any pics of the rear setup? thinking about getting both, should make a nice upgrade for my 190lbs front springs and beefed up rear springs along with the custom dampers.

I had a look at there website and the catalog.
Just a pity they do not have pics of the actual items.

Won't it just be easier to get a set made up in SA, as I presume there are no agents in SA for the addco products here.

I have sold loads of their stuff here in SA, I just dont see anyone having used them specificaly on the 1200's.

I have tried to have sway bars made in SA which resulted in disaster, hell its bad enough having just regular springs made here.

LOL, I phoned a few spring shops a while ago and each and everyone had a different story regarding sway bars, especially about the metals used.

I'm glad I done my coil overs, now I can just pop down to our shop and get a different set of springs.

Ive got 205lbs springs in the Datto now (as of a few days ago) and that took 7 attempts for the "spring makers" to get right, and its still not the right height!

Are you allowed to fit coil overs to the race car.

Nope, not for marque, swaybars are free though.

Just for interest sakes, while it is super easy to swap spring rates how are you compensating your damper rates?

Hehe, quick and easy answer, I'm not.

Would be lovely to fit a set of adjustable shocks, but what I use it for, I'm not willing to spend that money.

I do believe the damping rate on the rabbit shocks is more than the standard ute shocks, that will already help.

Rezlo, the best advice I can give you regarding lowering blocks is to make yourself a set. Your only challenge will be the thickness.

Let me explain, you will need a piece of metal or alu, lets say 20mm thick x 50mm wide and more or less 105mm long. The one side needs a 14mm hole to locate on the leaf pack center bolt and 8mm bolt on the on the other side to locate in the shock mounts hole that fits under the leaf pack with the u bolts.

What I will do to make a 20mm lowering block, take a 20mm piece of steel, drill a 8.5mm hole in the center, thru the entire piece of metal. then a 14 mm hole only 15mm deep into the piece of metal. Put a 8mm bolt thru it and fasten it with a nut, this way you have the hole to locate to the leaf pack and the bolt to locate the shock mount.

Here is a pic of a 50mm lowering block I made of 50mmx3mm square tubing, I just welded the side close to add more strength to it:

Down in Cape Town I will phone Saaymans Spring works for U bolts, expect to pay +- R100 bucks for 4.

But any shop that can make springs is suppose to be able to sort you out.

I'll the photos tomorrow, have crap with proxy servers and photo uploading again.
