The CA box on my CA18DET is leaking oil at the seal where the yoke slides in. Around town you get a regular drip, but go for a long run at freeway speed and under the car and the back of the car is covered in oil.

At 100 kph the car has a slight vibration, so thinking might take the shaft back to veem and get them to check the balance.

Have tried 3 seals in the box and the problem persists. So thinking the Stanza tail shaft yoke I used is worm. Should I get it sleaved or Hard Chrome plated and polish it? This is the best yoke I have. And to my knowledge they are NLA.

Definatly check the gear stick boot. And check the length of the tail shaft if it's too long it'll just rub out the rear seals in no time... Could also be a worn bush in the rear of the box. I had an oil leak from my ca box and it took about 4 months to finally sort it out, could also have a crack in the housing...

What was your leak caused by?

Will check the boot on the gear stick but it appears to come out near the yoke. Maybe its running down.

Have not checked breather. Can you still get speedi sleves? Have not seen them for years.
