ok so i just got defected for lowering blocks and the car needs to go in for an inspection.

to get it to and inspection standard i need the following:

-standard seats
-standard steering wheel
-an open h165 diff centre
-standard u bolts
-13' or 14' wheels with good tread

if any ones has any of these following things it would be great if i could buy or borrow them for the inspection in coming weeks

Question:Lowering blocks are not legal in the city of churches?
Qld. legal as long as they are steel or aluminium and not adjustable.
Seats:get them plated and forget it in future.
Steering wheel:get a legal 350mm wheel
Diff:Replace with an open

just to note i only got defected for the lowering blocks, everything else is just precautionary ... adelaide has a strict no lowering blocks policy :'( ... i have an adr approved wheel but dont want the possible head stuff ... also have adr approved seats on standard rails but again dont want the possible headache ... i need an open one to replace with.

i want to replace the steering wheel with standard if i can but thatnks benny

Crap dude that sucks.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

I had a f-in shhhhithouse day at Uni if that's of any consolation! SO I am proceeding to write myself off.

Is this a copshop defect?

Edit: Sorry if that is a stupid question, I'm not too sure that I understand the protocol here.

to bert,
lowering blocks are legal in qld with the rules he stated but also must not reduce the bump stop to chassis bump stop by anymore than 30%
:)

In reply to my learned colleague iDatto, the qld.transport modifications manual, section 1 page 5 actually states:The suspension travel in bump and rebound mode shall not be altered by more than one-third of that specified by the manufacturer.

My question was:are lowering blocks not legal in the city of churches?
