Hey all...

Just throwing the idea around, is anyone interested in a billet machined aluminium rocker cover?
I will most likely make one for my own car, but if others are interested I might make some more...?

I have done some sums and they would work out to around $500ea...?
Just putting the idea out there...

wow $500 is a LOT of money for a rocker cover billet or otherwise.

surely it wouldn't cost that much to have one (or multiple) cnc'd up?

edit: just had another idea, what about a stainless steel...??!!

my fabricator could do these im sure.

here is something that he does, apart from the fittings it looks seamless.

Topgear how about an A series to bmw gearbox adapter?
Since these gearboxes are now everywhere rotting away and
Toyota t50 are non-existent.

Keep in mind the Aluminium is $200ea plus...
They would be a 2 piece unit with a removable top so you can run the engine with the top of the rocker cover off...

The diffs are coming along, never as fast as I would like though!

Dundee1000, I assume you mean solid works models?

Like I said, around $500ea, they would most likely be less but I dont want to sell them short and do a heap of work for nothing...

Im not bothered either way, ill make one for myself and if there is a call for some more ill look at making some...

Topgear now you mention its a 2 pce item with removable top
I think its a great idea and might be in the market for one.
Would it be possible to have the top with an inwards step so
you wont need a separate seal with some kind of quick release
mechanism that doesnt require tools?.
