Another alternative is a CA20 pintara gearbox they bolt up and are usually fairly cheap or free. Stumpy is out of R30 skyline unless modded you have to mod them by putting a CA bell housing front cover and bearing on pretty easy once you've done it once or twice. Thing is are you using original tunnel ? Is it auto Tunnel ? Stumpy will put shifter in original hole. Heres a CA one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/S13-Nissan-Sil ... ories?hash=item1c0a4cc28d

stock CA18det box as alot stronger than a stumpy box

SR box might be ever so slightly stronger....but i think thats all just a load of crap as all the gears are about the same size. SR turbo boxes just have larger syncros on 3rd/4th
and they are a straight bolt in by putting a CA bellhousing onto them(it bolts straight on)

and 200kw in a 1200 shouldnt really bother the stock box that much unless you have really sticky tires and are constantly launching it

pretty sure the stock ca box is stronger than the sr box, thats what people on the silvia site think... ??? people often change the ca bellhousing for a sr one... could be wrong..

wouldnt be stronger, SR box is like an evolved CA box. then the S14 SR boxes as better coz of something to do with oil passages

but id be saying that any strength difference would be marginal

i will be giving it a hard time but thats why i want a strong gearbox, ive also heard that the ca20, sr20, rb20 are the same box, i was thinking of maybe putting in a t5 or t56 box, ill just have to make a bellhousing.
