Went up to the mountain straight hillclimb today for a bit of fun in the datto. Ended up with a best time of 54.99 seconds, so still need to find another second or so to match Bennys blistering time from 2005

Anyway here's a couple of vids

Video 1

Video 2

Sound quality's a bit crappy, must have been some interference or something.

EDIT: And I know my roof's rusty, so before any of you say it....

Full revs in 3rd is about 130 and full revs in 4th is around 165, so probably somewhere around the 150 mark. Last time I went to this hillclimb a couple of years ago when I had the A14 I didn't even hit 4th gear before going into the first turn, and it wasn't accelerating in 3rd up the hill towards the cutting. So the injected A15 is a fairly massive step forward in horsepower terms. I'm kinda keen to get it on the dyno to see what hp it's putting to the treads.

I just checked the results and my best time of 54.99 would have seen me 1st in both the 2 and 3 litre classes above me, and 6th out of 11 in the above 3 litre class. It's nice to see the mighty datto punching well above it's weight

Verry impesive.. you make the cutting look like a bend, where the V8's make it look like a hairpin.

Hehe they're probably going twice as fast, and I think the wide angle lense on my camera makes it look like it's not as tight.
