Are there any advantages in using an electronic distributor over the Pertronix ignitor? The ignitor is cheap and easy to install and I've had good experience with it before, but I'm considering an electronic distributor for my new 120y.

My setup is relatively stock and I've got the GT40r coil

price is a factor,
the Pertronix fits into an already aging Dizzy so you have the issues associated with that,

some of the new Elec dizzy's are cheap though, (Weekend1000)

I have the pertronix in my 1000 and an aftermarket electronic dizzy in my work-hack B310. Cant tell the difference between the two. I guess the advantage of the new dizzy is you get new mechanical parts and a new vacuum unit.

The pertronix is good, but the Datsun electronic ignition has a larger cap, to reduce crossfire. It handles a bit of moisture a lot better.
