Having 2 Temparature Gauges ?

Hi Guys

Just tell me can we have 2 Temperature gauge (dash Guages and external 1) together connected to same Temp Sending Unit ? what are the effects on both will both of them work fine or none at all or one will work and not the other ?

Can be done, but I would put a diode in the wire to each of the gauges. (The one from the sender) Probally something like a IN4007, in the off case that the aftermarket gauge picks up extra resistance from the factory gauge and vise versa.

In most later cars (B210's & B310's), there is a temp sensor on the opposite side of the head from the sender for the guage. This has to do with the vaccum advance cutoff switch part of the emissions gear. So using an adaptor between the origin hole & the after market sender, like you have to do with the factory sender hole, you can run an aftermarket guage & the factory one. I am going to use this hole to mount the sender for an electric fan, like the N12 Pulsar. I just have to check the fan sender doesn't have a larger thread than the hole in the head.

You need to use the correct sender for the different type of gauge. So I think no, you cant run the aftermarket gauge off the same sender as original.

As b310gx said there is places to put a second sender. So you run original gauge to your original sender and your aftermarket gauge off its appropriate sender.
