In interest of weight reduction Im interested to see if anyone
knows of a way to use a 4 or 5 speed 60 series box from either
bluebird, stanza, c20 or vanette to power a Ca18?
I dont think bellhousings where ever made for the ca16/18 to
run on a 60 series but maybe some japanese cars did?
The last alternative is to cut and shut a 60 series with a stumpy.
The reason is my b10 is just under 600kg and the ca18e Im building
will be 10kg heavier than an a15 so 20kg can be saved using a
60 series over the stumpy.
60a weighs in at 25kg, Stumpy/63a at 45kg from what I remember.
I can knife edge the ca18de crank to reduce 4kg but thats an expensive
path to save kgs. Im 65-67kg but cant go any further down as my frame
will not suit any less in physical training or I wont be competitive.
Weight is the enemy except in Sumo wrestling :)

60-series is not strong enough for a CA18, not even carbureted model. In any case they were only fitted to A14 & A15, no others.

60-series 5-spd: 32 kgs
CA18DET 5-speed: 43 kgs

You need at least a 63 series gearbox.
I want to go the other way. I'd like to fit my 63a bellhousing to a stumpy 71 gearbox. But AFAIK they wont be compatable. (plus a bigger stronger box wont do much to prolong the life of synchro's that get abused.

You need SynchroRev Match. That will protect your syncros. Only available from Nissan.

Has any one just removed some gears and shafts to reduce box weight?

I used drive my ca18de around on 1st,2nd,4th gears.

Cut down flywheel proportional to vehicle weightloss s13 to b10.

Just some thoughts

Due to the weight of the b10 the ca18 wont ruin a 60a if driven properly.
60a can take the abuse of a turbo a15 so a mild ca18 soch setup will take
the abuse in such a light car.

You likely could graft a CA bellhousing onto a 60 series box. But it would require a decent workshop, and a tig welder who knows what he's doing.
