Factory track rod? Track rod is for rear suspension.
Do you mean tension rod or cross rod?

Americans don't call it a cross rod ... that's what Datsun called it.

Ok i'm bringing this one back from the dead. Could someone with a 1200 (or any other small datsun) please measure their "cross rod". You know the one i'm talking about : I have here (and this is done roughly with a tape measure, so don't assume huge accuracy) 425mm to the centre of the tapered tie rod hole, and 495mm to the rear centre of the ball joints. I thought a comparison would help, perhaps a cut and shut will be in order if the sizing couldn't be compensated with the tie rods. Thanks
