Was just wondering what everyone runs. I have a few bottles of 75w 90. Or should I go 80w?

75W-90 is better the 80W. It is both lighter weight and holds up to the heat better.

Go for it.

Ensure it's GL-4 not the later GL-5 or synchros will 'crunch'

Yes, many people have reported problems with GL-5 gear lube in their older cars. The problem won't be immediately evident but over time the synchros will wear down.

Note that GL-5 containers do not say it is compatible with GL-4. Compare that to engine oil, which generally says it is backwards compatible.

Nissan specifies GL-4
