Hey guys,

Im just thinking here, but im trying to find an after market water pump NOT an OEM equivelant and have just bought a Billion high-flow, low temp thermostat. A nismo high pressure radiator cap has also been bought. I dont really want to fit these yet until i can find a nice water pump to suit. I suspect that i will also have to re-tune the ECU once the thermostat and waterpump have been upgraded.

Currently putting together a 3" exhaust including a new Euro 3 compliant metal cat which is 3" also. Hopefully it wont be too noisy, otherwise i might have to try and find a decent muffler while trying not to restrict gas flow. I was quoted $600 from my local exhaust guy to make one up, total length just over 2 meters with 4 mandrel bends using MILD steel... I laughed... So i bought the bends and i will do it myself :)

I think the go for a racer is genuine pump with a cast impeller I think with a full on motor thats gona sit at 8000 for an hour they remove every second fin. the pressed still impellers creat cavitation at high RPM's

Its not really going to see that kind of strenuous use, the power curve with the T28 seems to be all over by 6,000rpm atm. Hopefully thats going to get re-adjusted with this tune thats coming.

Are the OEM ones that good? I was thinking of a higher flowing item... I jsut cant seem to find an aftermarket one. You see a butt load for SR engines, RB engines etc... all from nismo and the like, but the CA seems to be missing out... :(

Yeah well I think your just best of to hav a pump with a cast impeller genuine or not, but most the after market ones seem to hav the pressed steel impellers(witch are fine for a standard-mildmotor).

I was hoping billion would have made one... but they dont. Nismo dont. Those are about the only 2 that i would know of. :( Ah well, will take your advice and use what i have here. If its good enough to race with, its good enough for my lil baby :)

Cheers mate

I'm not a facebook fan of those pressed steel ones, but from my experience I've seen them as the only ones you can get to suit the viscous clutch fan and puley.
