Hi all,

Bob has mentioned sprints next weekend but is is too close for most.
Ange thought it might be a good idea to find a date down the track to give people a chance to get organised.

So here goes:

WHERE: Winton Motor Racway

WHEN: Sunday 4th July

C0ST: $100 entry
$50. AASA basic licence (just pay, no testing req.)
TOTAL $150. if you dont already have the licence.

ENTRY and Sup. Regs: Available on the Winton website. The supplimentry regulations should tell you all you need to know about the event and your car requirements.

CARS: Basicly sound, Valve caps, seatbelt fire extinguisher of at least 1Kg, secondary bonnet retaining mechanism(bonnet pins, cable, chain or belt), A blue triangle sticker placed where the batery is located and i think thats about it? Does that sound right Bob?

Does this date work for most?

I'd love to ... But already committed to way to much car stuff for the next 3 months to even entertain the idea of asking the "boss" :(

Ive still got a bit of work to do. I think it will be a good day for my car`s first outing.

It would be great to get a few along. Hey Boof, Cant you have a reshuffle? see how you go as the date gets closer.

All sounds good !
Entry this year has gone up to $120 unless you pre enter and then it remains at $100.
Head lights need to be taped up as well but that is no biggy.
The format for the day consists of about 20 mins practice after entry and scrutineering.1st session is single starts at about 10 second intervals (1 standing 2 flying laps).Usually after that its 3 sessions of multiple starts 2 cars start together with 10 secs between groups of cars.So you can overtake and even race unofficially of course.
Hope that clarifies a few things.Any other questions just post
cheers
Bob

Hey Bob, will my L2S cams licence allow me to compete or will I have to purchase the AASA one? Cheers

AASA events recognise cams licenses but not the other way round. So a cams L2S license is no problems. it needs to be a speed license though.
cheers
Bob

Yeah the CAMS LS2 will be fine. My 1600 will be out of action but i'm mildly entertaining the thought of running the wagon for some fun. handles like a bag o crap tho so might need to do some things... i really shouldnt!
