I have just started prepairing my 1200 sedan for paint however I have been having trouble finding the code for the colour.I believe it is a standard Datsun colour.Does Burnt
Orange ring any bells? Could provide the code or maybe the correct name if I am wrong.

in the parts list for a 73 US 1200, the touch-up paint part number is
PAINT-DN006 Sunbird Orange #006

I expect you are looking for the CLR XXXXX code given by Dulux.

I don't know it, but stock cars will have a sticker on the front support panel and it will have the CLR code. Also the Build/Compliance plates might also specify the CLR colour
code.
Later model plates show this. This Dulux CLR code can be used by any reputable paint place to make you up an exact copy. Some can even 'sun-fade' the tint for matching to
existing panels.

If you're in Australia, I think the colour you are referring to is Safari Yellow (poor choice of name since it's actually orange not yellow). Taubmans code S5-4254. It's the
colour of my 1200 sedan. Barry
