We were wondering if anyone has had any success unpicking the whole plenum section below windscreen ?. The section where the vents go and wiper arms come through pretty sure it's called the plenum.

id say i could do it. are you talking unpicking it without destroying either part...or can one bit be sacraficed?

they are only spot welds...how hard can it be?

Yeah im tossin up whether to replace about 4 sections or unpick the one on me parts sedan. Started to tinker with ute today and found some very nasty rust repairs very bodgy welding with nice thick layers of bog and fibreglass. HA HA Fun times ahead.

i have not unpicked the plenum, but i know how to get access to it.. f you cut away the small piece above the inner fender rail u can access most of the rust etc from either side.. dunno whether i would wanna unpick the whole lot... could get messy.. why do u need access to it>

Where the vents screw in on both sides are all rusty and also either side below the pillars have had some nasty repairs.
