Heating copper lines in Behind Windscreen ?

Hi Guys

What is the machanism that the behind windcreen is getting heated to avoid humid on it,i can see some copper lines on it how can i make it working, as usual i am planing to go my hill country journey at the month end that will be very useful for me as there it is so cold and rainy

Hi it is commonly call a rear demister. It should have electrical connections at either side of the glass. One side is earth and the other side is 12 volts and current runs through the copper lines to heat the glass. Your car should have a no/off switch to control it somewhere on the dash. Hope this helps you out

Hi DD

Thanks, is the wiring 12v directly going to rear window Heater lines as above DJF280's comments.the picture i am confuses having copper tube to the rear windscreen is it to take wiring there is it ? so what my mind is the heater lines gets voltage from the dash switch ? correct me if i am wrong

Yes Actually, i went through it i understand switch wiring fuse connection etc etc, but i am not clear where it is connecting to rear window

it connects to the copper wires (traces) on the back glass. You should find two of the traces going off to the side, that is where the wiring connects.

Hi guys

I found the 2 copper line connection in the rear windscreen,when i provide wiring how can i check whether it is working properly, can i feel the heat on the windscreen or can i check the voltage by a multimeter ?
