Fitted some s12+8 calipers to my Stanza struts. Have got the calipers at the back of the strut at the moment. The issue is that the caliper hits on the arm near the steering ball joint.

Do you need to grind the steering arm slightly so the caliper does not hit?

Can you swap the struts over so the calipers face the other way?

The simple way is like these oks say swap the left with the right..
If this is no option try swiching the caliper brackets to the front of the strut, If welded or not posible, You can make new brackets that fit to the front.

It's not always what's the easyest, but whats the best and rightway and WHAT do You want.
If you can make it to fit one way you can make it to fit the other way...
Ps; buy swaping the struts you wont have NO prob with it..

The easiest way to overcome this problem is to swap the struts to the other side of the car,ie the strut that usually goes on the left hand side goes on the right hand side & vice versa. The caliper then goes ahead of the stub axle instead of behind. There is no problem with doing this brake effort or effect wise, & no advantage other than it clears the tie rod end. It's the way most big brake conversions have to be done on 1200's & 120Y's. Just make sure the bleed nipple stays to the top of the calpier so the air can get out when the brake's are bled.

Had another look at it tonight and yeah overlooked the simplest solution. Will put calipers at front of the strut.

Could gain 2 mm clearance by recessing the caliper bolt, but by putting calipers at the front I dont need to modify anything.
