Hi peoples,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me weather the timing cover on an A12 is the same as an A10?
Thanks for any help!
Cheers, Shane.

Early A12s differ from later ones:
- early ones have the timing marks on the pulley
- later engines have the timing marks on the cover

My GUESS would be that the A10 is like the early A12?

I always wondered if the later A10 are different blocks to the early ones
Chris (dodgeman) confirmed the later a10 still had 3 bearing cranks but
thats all I asked at the time. It wouldnt make sense to cast another a10
block without improvements but just motor mounting points

Yes, it is possible that A10s (even the late 1980 A10 engines) use the original old-style block.

Early Datsun 1000 engines used a thinner timing cover -- you can't get a standard double-row timing chain in it. Later Datsun 1000 engines used the same timing cover as early Datsun 1200 engines.
