Leave it in my opinion. Tints rarely suit old cars.

I hate coloured tints ... And Lachie i really do agree with you ... Not a fan of tint on older cars ... But the mrs is really pushing ...

I feel the same about my 1000, but the interior is such a great feature to obscure, particulary yours.
Is it because she feels conspicuious? Thats understandable, especially when most newer cars are tinted to thier legal limits to block out the outside world and remain anonymous so they can drive like idiots ;). To me this is a sad reflection of the way too many people regard motoring...selfishly.

...or maybe she just thinks it looks better?
It depends on the colour ot the car and the amount of glass too...Sometimes It could cheapen the whole look of your car.

Maybe you could go something just a shade or two darker if you need to compromise.
Ive always liked the idea of a mild coloured tint, a pale sky blue or go the full ratrod green :)

Umm the only time I ever saw it and thought it was any good was an orange one with orange tint.

I say 'ignore the missus'!!Haha

How about ventian blinds, you can get them in different colours, a light tint would help save your interior - just photoshop the pic you posted and see if it really suits or not
