hey guys im new to this site ive owned my 1200 for a while and have done quite a few things to it.. my question is about wheels size and tyre size..
im trying to get it engineered and i have found a set of 14"r31 skyline steel wheels and have fitted 185/65 r14 tyres on it and it they scrub the front guards...

i have stanza front brakes, control arms, and struts in the car.

just wanna know what other steel rims will fit in 14" without scrubing the guards.

must be 14" as 13's dont fit over my rear brakes any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

Ive got the same setup and needed to trim the front guard at the front edge, when I set the car to its current ride height.

I know you want 14 but 13 inch Mitsubish colt rims with 155 or 175 tyres work well.

Have you tried 14 inch 200b rims ? Also have you tried 13 or 14 inch mag wheels (Alloy wheels)? They seem to fit better than steel rims depending on offset of course.

Try 14 inch wheels from a Mitsubishi Sigma or Scorpion. I used these on a 1000 race car as trailer wheels with some 175/60x14's. Also check C22 Nomad steel wheels. You could also try some Bluebird wheels, some of the site members have used on their cars. I'd recommend the 175/60's as a tyre size. The part of the guard that needs trimming is the lower front corner of the wheel opening. You can usually get enough clearance if you fold the lip over & pull that corner out slightly, or put another fold in that part of the guard, usually 5 mm or so will be enough.

so the tile of the thread is wrong, you need rims to fit your rear brakes, cause 13's clear stanza brakes.

hi mate

you need to make sure you have the right tyres, not just he right rims. a 185/65/14 is probably quite tall compared to the standard tyre?
