You dont have to shorten the tubes depends on what height you want you can cut 1 or 2 coils and will still be stiff.
I now run 1600 King springs with B310 spring retainers(stiffer and lower)and pedders inserts.Using a 7/8th twin master and removed the booster for better pedal feedback.

you need to cut off the spring cup and weld on a smaller one to suit 1200/stanza springs and use the 1200 top spring cup,

but they are better than stanza struts cause they are shorter so you dont loose any travel

no 1200 needs a booster, even with four wheel discs and four spot calipers on front

1200rc, drive my car with the booster disconnected once its done...some 1200s need a booster.
it more depends on the size brakes you have, better point would be that no 1200 needs brakes that large. but once you drive with brakes like that everything else seems a bit #OOPS#

but yeah, 200b struts in 1200. pretty much the same as stanza stuff but you need to change spring perch and you end up with more suspention travle and larger brakes

ok, the reason i asked was i have stanza struts with holden hx? girlock calipers, and magna? rotor. because i wanna run 13's (and im talkin tyre size not 1/4 miles here haha), my 13's didnt fit over the brakes. so i bought 200b ones cause they were there at the sydney datsun day and i thought the 13s would fit, which they do, and i already have inserts and coilover kit to fit that size body so didnt wanna go buy another kit etc to suit the smaller 1200 disc struts. so i guess i can ditch the stanza ones now and just do the 200bs. RAD! haha. another reason i didnt wanna run the 1200 discs was everyone on here reckons if ya have any engine work, they dont pull up. i am only runnin a a15 and tryin to keep a original look (13' mags)

stanza and 200b stub axles are the same almost, the 200b hub bolts ont the stanza struts too. so no need to ditch the struts, just bolt on the 200b caliper and hub/rotor combo

i thought that stanza and 200b caliper bolts where different spacings? anyways it means i dont need to cut the tubes now.
