i saw a remanufactured stock a12 carby on ebay, i was wondering if anyone has used these, unfortunately the auction is over. but i wondered what people experience with these have been

the one on ebay came with elec choke but looked pretty much like the stock carb

should be a great thing to grab and put on claires car im thinking

is there somewhere that sells them that isnt ebay, just an ordinary outlet online or in real life?

You'll occasionally find some decent places through ebay, but I usually personally have a tendency to think 'worse case scenario' and if I can't pick a part up in person, i.e. it's a bank deposit and they only do mail order or whatever, it's going to be 100 times harder to take it back and throw it at their head if they have ripped me off.

Carbs (particularly these ones) aren't massively complex and difficult to rebuild. Unless the price outright was reasonably close to the cost of a rebuild kit then I'd diy the carby.

I bought a stock a12 manual carb without the fuel cutoff solenoid.. The build quality is excellent and I fitted it up, adjusted the mixture and it just works perfectly!

I bought it from http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/274 ... NISSAN_A12_OEM_16010.html

If you ask for Frankie on the chat and tell him you found out about him from Tom in Sydney Australia who bought 1 carby off him last year he'll prob let you order just 1.. as you can see their minimum quantity is 100 but for a higher price he will do just one and mark it down as a "sample" so you can see the quantity so he doesn't get in trouble with his bosses.

I think all up including courier to Australia i paid somewhere like $110 or $136.. the same carb is available on ebay for $249 brand new..

if you wanted to go ahead with it let me know how it goes and if you need the carb to manifold base gaskets I had a couple sent to me and if you want to to post you one id be more than happy to!

if you have any troubles ordering it etc let me know and ill chat with him..

his email is frankie@topyauld.com.cn and the carb part number you'd be ordering from him is: 16010-H1602

let me know if you need any more help! and good luck! i ended up paying him with western union which can be a bit dodgy but because he was a verified seller it all went well...

Cheers,
Tom
