Transistor Ignition part?

Good morning everyone...

I was doing a google search on a Nissan part number (22020-A0211) which is something for a transistor ignition for an N10 car or the 1200. My search showed one hit, the Nismo N10 Catalog page of this Datsun1200 website.

Does anyone have more information as to what this part is for and what all cars this would work on? I sell old Nissan/Datsun parts online but haven't been able to really sell this part for total lack of knowledge of what it is and what it's for. Are people even interested in a part like this anymore? These were pretty expensive buggers from Nissan as they're MSRP is almost $1500!!

Anyway... if anyone could point me in a good direction for more information on this thing... I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Norman

22020-A0211 is #3 in this photo
It was hot stuff in the early 1980s, but now the technology is old hat. It is probably similar to CDI ignition which can be had for a couple hundred today.

But -- these were used on the Datsun Z432, so you might be able to sell them for big dollars in Japan. A collector might be willing to pay for the original part.

It is competition ignition system. So it really doesn't fit any cars factory stock. Even the Z432 didn't come with it.

Hey... thanks for commenting and providing some information. Yes, that #3 is indeed what I have. These are pics of my stuff with original box part number.

I guess now I need to hunt down an outlet that may be interested in this. You said it was used on the Z432, what about the N10s? Them too since it's mentioned on the Nismo N10 page here?

Again... thanks for the info...

It was sold by Nissan Competition and can be used on various engines.

It was in all the Nissan competition catalogs, including the N10 racing parts catalog.
