so i have my ute close to where i want it looking.

and now its time to start working up the engine. i just bought two A12's the other day. that i plan on stripping.

so i have got a ruff idea for what i want to do to the engine. eg, twin 44mm solex mikuni carbs, RACING Heavy Duty Timing Chain, METAL Head Gasket, Double Valve Spring's, ProCam + Adjust Pulley, NISMO Electric Fuel Pump, Lightweight Flywheel, hurricane extractors and so on..

im new to datsun's so im going to need all the help i can get. so if anyone has any pointers to share that would be grate.

will try keep pix's up to date of the ute and progress of the work.

Hope you don't mind Stuart, thought I'd get the ball rolling.

So here are some pics of the recent engine swap, Stu has bought my old motor and I swapped it in for him this afternoon. It'll go hard so I hope he's happy!

Firing up tomorrow, we are currently exhaust-less until I can find time to get something else in there. The old engine in his car was a smelly little A12 that was pretty much on his last legs, so the new heart should bring some serious fun!

Datsunbloke: they are long stem bullet fender mirrors (as far as i kno) i got them off a mate on this forum.

No worries at all dude, we'll get the exhaust on tomorrow and give it a run. I'm equally eager to get it on the road! Finally get to hear that A12 screaming again!

Isn't that an EFI rocker cover? Hold on to it.

Haha! I told him that yesterday.

Unfortunately it isn't one, it has been painted gold some of the blue original paint is visible underneath, very well spotted dd!
