hey guys

after taking my 1200 ute to powercruise ive realised i really need to do something with the suspension, it felt like it was going to tip over around every corner, it had way to much body roll to safely drive it, im putting some hardened springs in the back and new shocks but im not sure about the front, i would like to go maddat coils overs but i dont wanna spend that much $$ so does anyone know a cheaper way of doing things? sway bars, different springs etc. it has 200b struts btw.

thanks mitch

What is wrong with your ute? Stock suspension doesn't tip over. Did someone remove the stock anti-roll bar?

Or are you saying you don't like the way the stock suspension works? It has a moderate amount of body roll, but less than many cars.

stock Datsun 1200 0.74 g skidpad is not too bad for the day
beats corolla 1200
Rolls less too

But rolls more than modern sporty cars. Fit a larger roll bar is a good way to improve it. Keep the 100 lb. soft springs to soak up the street road bumps.

For racing on smooth surfaces, you might wish to fit heavy springs 250 lbs. Lowering will help too.

Yeah pretty much upgrade swaybar to a much larger one.
Also going the maddat coilovers is very expensive but good quality, maybe look into building your own coilovers out of the 200B struts?
Having a beasty rotor in there doesn't help either

slap a 120y sway bar in there, direct swap and a bit thicker for added goodness
