Does anyone want to pick up a non going ute (edit- on a trailer) from Geelong and drive it up to Canberra? Will pay! Name your price. Found one freight place that moves non goers and still waiting for quote!

I've never claimed to be clever but clearly I'm missing something here! How do you drive a non running ute 800kms???
Do you mean drive it as in drive it on a trailer??

Aaah, now I get it!! Thanks for the clarification! The funny thing is you could do the Flinstones thing with my ute at the moment as it has no floor in it!

Haha. My old ute was the same with a rusty floor. Everytime I drove in the wet, my shoes would get wet!

You need the holes in the floor to let the water out that has leaked through the rusted out plenum chamber!

should be easy to get many online quotes (although if it wont drive itself on the trailer it can be more difficult)

cant see how anyone could do it for you cheaper than a transport company really

for someone like me who has a trailer it would take all up prob 18-20hrs, plus fuel, would be easy $100/hr, so your talking a couple of grand, in fact add in a second person to take some shifts driving, they need a cut too, so $2500+

chances someone is driving that way and happens to have an empty trailer - none - unless they are in the business of moving that sort of stuff

bite the bullet, you either DIY to cut the labour cost or pay the cash so you can stay at home and wait

Yeah was hoping someone with an empty trailer was coming up. Finally go 1 quote after about 5 days. No one else will take non goers and say it has to be able to be driven onto the truck.
Pigdog sounds like you have a good story to tell. Was it a good car at least?
