Ok I've noticed there are a few computer buffs on here. My current pc is #OOPS#ed lol. Slow as a wet week, freezes etc. And i have been looking around for a replacement. Basically I wanna know if anyone here has one that's not old and are upgrading, or someone that can build them. If I get one built would it be cheaper then buying a unit from say Harvey Norman?

I'm a noob when it comes to computers lol, all I'm after is the tower. I already have a flat screen monitor, surround sound, all that jazz. I only use the thing for using the net (der), fair bit of YouTube, and downloading (cough) and watching movies.
And I also have an old laptop with my ecu software on it for tuning cars so I don't wanna use that

So if anyone can help me out that'd be sweet

We can sort you out with a decent system and are willing to trade your old one in. If you send me your old tower then that will cover return delivery of the system we supply. Refurbished systems start at $150 and will happily burn DVD's CD's Play Mid level games (if that's your thing)Pm Sent with Contact info.

Also if that sounds cheap it is as we mention refurbished. New systems will be a bit more but still near half the price of harvey norman for Systems of the same Specs With warranty and support.

Format your hard drive and re-install Windows (or the manufacturer's CD). After that it will run as fast as new, and it won't lock up. At least untill you reinstall all the junk.

Haha dd, I've done that and it was ok for a while, the thing is nearly 10 years old, I got it as a hand me down off a mate. So I think an upgrade is well overdue lol

Depends what your after, i can get you a spanking new tower form around 350 but i will say this, you get what you pay for... i sell pc's for work and the cheaper ones, although great for the wallet, generally will slow down and wont last as long as a decently built pc.

Another good alternative is to just order one from hp or dell, they are a bit more than a bare pc but you get support for most things.
