hey guys i'v been out of the forum for a while now and im trying to get ideas for my next project as i just finished my 69 a couple of weeks ago and last week picked up a new 69 4dr. So now im stuck at wot to do with it the body is rough but alright but all the panels are pretty f*cked so far i'v decided i am going put a na sr20 in it but i am unsure on wot i want to do about the rest for the rear i was thinking about putting irs in the rear and shortening a s13 rear cradle and driveshafts or using a bluebird or 31 diff and either a 2,3 or 4 link
I have also thought about mid mounting the engine aswell but not decided yet so im am asking fr opinions or ideas from anyone willing to imput

mid-mount IRS is definitely something i have been thinking about in the future, maybe using modified toyota MR2 gear.

A mid mounted Honda motor would be sweet! They love doin that to the mini's in England. I reckon a g13b turbo is a great conversion too, but a mid mount Honda would top the cake I reckon, maybe even turbo charged

Mid mounted GTi-R motor? Mmmmmmmmm, solid tappets and individual throttle bodies (and larger journals and a better oil pump).

well i have decided im going sr as i have one spare and i would like to put quads on it i have thought about gtir gear and make it 4wd
Im also trying to decide if i leave the leaf front or make strut towers

leave the transverse leaf in. Its one of the features that makes the 1000 unique.

If this is not ever gonna be street registered, then see if you can shift the engine back a little to give better weight spread.
or even better, mount it nest to you in the passenger seat and then you can put your coffee on the head when driving to keep it warm. :)
