hi yesterday i finnaly fixed my manifold hot box leak and know when i started the car it seems their is a misfire you can hear and feel like its missing and near the exhaust its audible i tried remvoing the plug wires to see if it stayed the same so i can see what cylinder it is but it becomes worse!

so could it be a cylinder partially not firing??

also at high revs its not misfiring!

i cheacked the points leads plugs dwell and still no luck!

check tappets and do a comp test.

tappets i readjusted few weeks ago and engine is newly rebuilt so dont think thats an issue!

what are the effects or symptoms of running lean at idle will it misfire i have to have mixture screw 2 and half turns out any more and engine dies when you accelerate from stop in drive!

maybe jetting problem or air leak somewhere.

yer i do have problems with jetting which i cant get right i had 101 in main primary jet and engine would stall i drive as soon as you give it gas so i put in a size 130 just to see and it fixed the problem but drank to much fuel and fouled the plugs!

so i put in 110 now and its doing same thing again unless you have mixture realy lean but then idles bad but wont turn off as soon as you richen it up it idles good but dies in drive!

any ideas what could be the issue!

also the primart air bleed is size 70!

hi thanks yer i got 120 aswell will try tommorow but do you think their is a reason i need to increase the jet size from standard 101 it came with!

or is this normal to run bigger jets!
