drilling is most commonly used on race brake rotors,
they tend to get heat cracks arround the holes,
Slots have the same purpose and help in keeping the pad surface flat,

Dimpled and slotted rotors seems to be the go in motorsport these days...

Talked to my engineer about drilled brake rotors and he said don't do it. It weakens them too much. Better to get slotted rotors in his opinion.

i think i don't state my point clearly. those rotors are stock rotors, and the foundry drilled it like that. in my logical view, if even aftermarket drilled rotors tend to crack at the holes, stock is even further. i don't want the rotor to shatter on me. that is possible isn't it?

anybody would recommend me slotting stock rotors on my b310 and 510?
