hi i have a datsun 120y with a A12 engine and it has a carb from a A15 i think and the accelerator cable fron the a12 works but the metal crimp tab they have on it is were you tighten the clamp on the carby to hold it but this carb has it in different position so i have to clamp it on the plastic part which makes the throttle bind up somtimes?

so i think i need a cable from a b310?? will it fit??

the metal tab has to be further away from the carby!

B310 uses a different end at the firewall -- it won't work.

The B310 and B210 carburetors have the same clamps and normally the same cable works for both.

I recently ran into a similar problem -- there was too much cable for my carburetor (RHD cable, LHD carburetor). I clamped the excess cable at the pedal end.

hi i dont realy have excess cable i have the metal tab in the wrong position!

so how does the a15 carb cables clamp on if its the same as the A12??

How does yours not fit?

Notice that B210 and B310 use the same end at the carburetor:

hi the end things are same but see in circled black the metal crimp isn't the clamp supposed to be thier but mine is on the red part so when tightened it makes the accelerator bind at half throttle!

So your cable doesn't have the part circled in black? In that case, get a new cable.

hi i might not be clear enough when i explain!

it has the thing circled in black but in the wrong position when u put the cable in the throttle cam the metal thing is too far forward and the clamp on the carb is too far back so it ends up being clamped on the actual cable making it bind!

heres a picture of were the clamp is circled in purple the metal thing goes to far forward from this clamp!
