I have sold my Datsun 1200 Ute and went to get a roadworthy certificate and was told i might be required to obtained a modification plate for the A14 engine and front Disk brake installed to the vehicle.
Does anyone know if this requirement is correct or does it comply? I have owned this vehicle for over 2 years Traveled 12000kms and is in mint condition previous roadworthy was no problem.
Any advice appreciated

should be ok, there is a calculation in VIC which allows the a14 to be installed with any certification. and as the 1200 coupe came with disc brakes (and even the later utes did?) it should not be a problem either

may be better taking it else where, for the age of the vehicle a road worthy person should not be so picky on these things! hardly any ADRs apply

Depends what year model ute it is cause adrs apply in 1974 and 1976 then 1986 but utes stoped in 1985 for this reason (amongst others), so it may need mod plate in old technically.
