hi guys im getting a 9inch built for my ute and was wondering what you guys have done with size my put the tape on mine and from end to end its 1310mm and i have read here afew of you guys have went 10 to 20 shorter each side is that ok to do? Im putting in a 4link setup aswell if the helps any.
Any advice will help thanks

The proper way to do it is work out EXACTLY what rims you will be running and match the diff to this so you don't have to play around with spacing out wheels or trying to find a rim that suits the diff. Work backwards! Being a four link you give yourself a better choice of wider rims as the limiting factor with big rims on the back of a 1200 is the springs. You'll get a 1" wider rim on the rear without having to touch the chassis just by getting rid of the leaf spring.

Shoota_77... Thanks for that mate i was thinking of the same thing but in a different way and have been researching all day now im looking at wheels to choose been on the phone all day and these are the ones im thinking of they are not a cheap rim but this is along build and its what i like that counts size will be 17x8 with 3 1/2 deep dish what you guys think

The top one looks awesome!
With a dish that deep you will definately have to tub it and move the rails in. I don't think just going to the rail will give you the room you need (for the width alone it would but not the combination of the two).
The diff will need to be way shorter than normal to accomodate the dish and the width.
