so not sure who will appreciate this but i have a winters diff currently in the mail for my ute, a 7" quick change with alloy centre hubs etc, will weigh approx, 55kg fully assembled, can take 350hp+ and can change the ratio in 2 minutes, i ordered 2 sets of ratios, 3.8 and 4. 6 hahaha get some power out of anything with a 4.6 :D
ordered with a wedgelock lsd but also got the adaptor for an extra $20 which will lock it in the time for an axle swap, half an hour.
3950, delivered, dunno if customs will bust my balls yet, another $400 i guess
will post pics once its in

Ive been saying for 11+ years this would be the
ultimate rear end for a datto due to weight/strength.
You are like the first man on the moon! congratulations!!!!

Rods been using quickchange for years but
datto folk never spend that much usually
and for the price of some of the R31 setups
available a QC setup is 10 times better not
to mention 30kgs lighter.

haha thanks guys yeah it's a winters. and yeh that price includes axles, hub assemblies, 2 rotors and 2 sets of quick change gears.
unsure about a motor yet, thinking either worked n/a ca18 or a 4ag 20v, but it's already got a ca20 in it so ca18 swap will be heaps easier, and with some quads, 4-1's more compression etc should be a pretty decent engine.
other option is ca turbo but i kind of want that tough n/a response

Ca18 will be way easier for you and with some decent na builds out there would be more than enough.

That said for less $$$ you could have ca18det in there and more power

Youve gone that far on the diff you might go as far on
the engine and get the lightest and most powerful NA
possible either full mechanical head SR20VVL or my fav
the QR25DE with modded cheap SR20DE factory full counter
weighed forged crank for a QSR23DE. Both will make over
200hp with little investment but VVL is available at
my105.com but sites down at moment fully developed except
throttle bodies too small using 4ag ones.

Go ca, cars already set up for ca, why give your self more hassles. If it's engineered with ca, should be no issue with another ca in there
