Hi Guys

What is the recommended RPM a B310(210) with AC On ?
as i know Usually it can idle somewhere around 750rpm But when the AC is on it will not idle on that particuler RPM, do i need to set RPM to a higher level so it always runs faster rpm even i don't AC on or is there any component that can increase engine RPM while AC is on ?
if so what is it called and what is the cost of it ?

thanks
regards
sumith

the system is called FICD (fast idle control device). provided your carb already have the diaphragm for the valve? the installation is not very hard.

i do think its part number 7. you hook the FICD device to vacuum, and the other end, hook it to the air nipple at the part 7.

i might be wrong though.

the FICD device should look something like this.

connect the wire to the compressor, we want the ficd to off when the compressor is off.
after hooking up correctly, you should have two adjustments for idle. aircond off, and aircond on.

B310 doesn't use FCID. It simply idles a little slower when the A/C is on. For USA, idle is set in Drive at 650 RPM with engine fully warm.

Part #7 is for the Throttle Opener, which should not affect curb idle.

hi DD

do you mean that if it is set 650 RPM, it will automatically handle idle speed while ac is on ?

thanks

Let me correct that.

* If the A/C is factory installed, it will use FICD
* If it is dealer-installed, no FICD

Are you having a problem with the idle speed? If so, try raising it a little.

Or you might fit a generic FICD as Bakat suggests.

The factory B310 FICD actuator is like this:
