how have you remove ute hooks?

i would like to know how to go about removing the tie down hooks on my ute with out taking whole top section off? Possible? Tools used? At some point the hooks on my ute have been cut flush and i dont like it. Thanks Rhys

i cut at the back/bottom of the hooks with a cutting blade on a grinder, then cut diagonally down in the middle of it to piss that weld of that holds it to the lip. then just grind/paddle wheel it smooth so if blends in with a)the back of the wall and b) the top lip.
