after not playing with any datsuns for a while n the need arised to build a hillclimp/drag/drift/lap dash car i searched my workshop to work out what to build after toying with an rx4 sedan then 1200 ute i decided the 1200 sedan needed a new life so today was spent making measurements and organising parts

it will be running a worked rb30 with a 5 speed box as it was sittin in the corner taking up space and wanted to stay with the nissan brand after deciding on the motor realised the diff wont last so i dug up a vr commodore lsd in it has already been started shorting it down 150mm then attention was turned to the pissy single piston front brakes after a lil playing around ive worked out i will be able to fit up some vn front brake rotors and callipers so i can keep the stud pattern all the way around next i got one of my workers to strip the vehicle and we have started to design a rollcage

next things on the list for friday will be removing the firewall and tunnel dummy mocking up the motor and box and removing the diff so we can fabricate some mounts to mount the diff in the rear end with the starting day on this project today and i have 7 weeks to have it ready to race i will be having a few late nights ahead of me

nah a dirty turbo hanging off the side of it will be quite quick im thinking but yeah that is one thing im sorta tossing an turning about weather to throw the hole struts away and find somethen to squeeze in there and just make some new lower control arms but with how far the motor is goin to be set back it wont be much more different then a fatty driving it im thinking

do the stanza struts but you can chop the bodys down and fit a 240x koni or even shorter a z series insert..... will allow it to be low but still have travel
