Trimmer - what's your knowledge on datsuns like? Reason I ask is I'm currently using the eeat that was put in a rally car that DatsAndy bought, and then ended up selling to me some time back. It's definitely a datsun seat, but nobody is sure what one (besides the fact that it is not a 1200 coupe seat).

I'd very much like to get another one of them, and then get it retrimmed when I replace the existing seat, as it happens to fit the car ok, whilst at the same time being able to be fitted (with a bit of floor/rail/welding/mods from me) lower than a stock 1200 seat and a good 8 inches rearward. It also fits my er backside, somewhat well (no easy job let me tell ya!) as I'm kinda large, so it really does represent the best option for me short of a one off custom seat (none of the race seats I've tried are wide enough for my rear and my back/shoulders, unfortunately).

Anyway, if i was to supply some pics, is there any chance you might recognise what the seat is out of, and whether you can identify it or not, what would it cost to retrim it - nothing flamboyant, just a basic black vinyl of some sort, similar to its current cover design, but new as well as new padding if/as required?

I'd also like to get the passenger seat re-trimmed, but it's just a stock 1200 coupe seat - I'm assuming it'd be extra to get both done, compare to 2 of the exact same type of seat, as each would require different patterns.

If you'd prefer to give an estimate via PM, I understand. I've mainly asked these questions here as I reckon a lot of other people might have similar (maybe not identical) questions, and it might even drum up more business for you.

I'm also chasing a pair of coupe door trims. The ones i have probably wouldn't even be up to the task for using as templates - is this something you can provide from scratch, or would you need a template/existing trim to make a stencil of or whatever?

thankyou for your time!

hi thanks for the questions as for the seat put up a pic and ill look at it hopefully i recognise it i may be able to copy the style onto a stock 1200 frame and build up the foam to match your rally driver seat if you mean fiberglass race seat they can be cut down the guts and widened i have a mould for a recaro i use for office chairs when im glassing i do them with leffover resin as for the coupe seat i dont have a pattern yet so 1st customer with coupe seats will get a discount i usualy charge $150ea for basic ute seats add a little extra for coupe im looking at buying a coupe this week if all goes well and the doortrims are ok so i will have a pattern if not ill see if the guy has one i can trace hope i got all your questions covered
