Ive got to try and reduce the amount of heat I have in my engine bay. Due to the extractors and carbs both facing the firewall. I was thinking of getting the coating done to try and help with this.

Has any on on here done this before? any good storys or bad storys about it?

troy; get them coated, then wrap them with exhaust wrap . works well.cheers

I've heard that it's comparable to and it has or does about the same amount in heat reducing
effects/properties as the wrapping/lagging stuff you can get but is way more expensive if you have it done properly, ie: have it sent away and coated by a pro. I'm into the same idea also as it makes a lot of general sense to reduce heat in a car. Would love to go the coating though, looks ace.

Ive been given 3 qoutes One from Thermal Edge Coating in Qld. HP Coatings in Vic and Jet Hot in Vic as well any one used any of these brands??

ive use a number of people, its all about the prep before coating. how much have you been quoted.

$240, $270 and $225 plus fright etc.

thats cheap, the last quote i got was $420-$450.00( 1 month ago), that included, they prep them & coat them, i dropped them there and i pick them up.wrap not included.mob in blacktown nsw.also depends on quality of ceramic too. i guess.as they said.

Thermal Edge is there Satin Black product. HP is there HP2 black coating and Jet Hot is there Sterling coating.
