just noticed aluminium wheel nuts on otomoto

otomoto

i remember this being a really significant weight savingwhen we were build formula SAE car, but cant remember weights

$72 for 16, not too bad

im tempted, someone buy some and let me know if they are good

cool, post the answer, i remember being really surprised how heavy 16 x steel nuts are, if you measure that we should be able to convert that to a rough weight for aluminium to get an idea

i could do it but i don't think i have a set of scales worthy

Gotta watch that the alloy thread doesn't strip and your wheel fall off! Ive heard alloy wheel nuts are a no no in motorsport.

found some on ebay that are alloy but have a steel insert. finding out there weights to.

I had the d1 ones on my skyline and over 180kmh no problems! They have steel inserts and weigh #OOPS# all
