hey moises

you can use any strut insert cartridge shocks you want with the Ground Control coilover kit

See Strut Insert Part Numbers

Are you using the stock 1200 struts, or have they been replaced with something else like 280ZX struts?

Excellent -- keep it light weight, but use the larger 210 brakes.

You can get Konis or Tokicos (new old stock) for the 1200 struts, or buy the genuine items from Nissan.

Some guys cut their struts down shorter when lowering more than 2", then they use VW Golf inserts.

TOKICO S1041 (oil), Z1041 (gas)

These are inserts for the stock 1200 struts.

You can use the Golf cartridges in a stock 1200 strut also, with a simple spacer.

But Tokicos for Golf won't fit, they are too big around. KYB for Golf will fit.

Tokico seems to be the hot name in suspension now in USA. Which is humorous because Tokico and KYB were original equipment for the Datsun 1200 back in in 1971.

yeah he used the kyb golf ones, in a 120y strut with s13 cambertops and 6 kg springs, a very good suspension set-up and so worth the 400 for all of it

From your local VW dealer. Or from Amazon.com or from eBay.

For example,
