I've been looking through the wiki and can't find any direct info on what you need to fit stanza/200b struts to a 1200, I no I need stanza/sunny steering arms, late ute/120y/stanza lca's, and depending on how fast u want to turn, I believe there are 2 types of tierods and the threaded rod between them, also there are two different types of ball joints can anyone help out with what is needed 100% to make these setups work?
Also needed part numbers to order them if you can help or at least what year and model stuff I need
Or a link to where this has been talked about before
Cheers nick

You need a 2.0 inch Strut Acceptance Package.

I'm pretty sure you can just use the stock 1200 tie-rod ends.

for starters you want the Girlock brake Stanza strut.
while you're there it makes sense to just buy the lot from a Stanza - strut, LCA, steering arm, and tension rod. It will be the 4bolt balljoint.

You can modify the stanza tension rod to length and thread it to make it adjustable with nuts on either side of the mount. Makes more sense than sourcing a seperate 120Y tension rod that will give you a fixed amount of castor that may or may not be what you want or need. I used the 1200 tension rod but then you have to slot one of the mounting holes to the LCA. Would be better to use the thicker Stanza rod and just modify the threaded end.

1200 outer tie rod end fits the Stanza steering arm.
Length of the tie rod itself is fine for the stanza strut conversion.

you want the balljoints from a stanza, as the 1200 ute and 120y ones are about 5-10mm shorter

all stanza balljoints are the same so you shouldnt need a year

Yes, the W50 parts are from 1978-1981 Stanza. They were also used by some B310.

I'm putting Coilovers in so camber is not my problem but track is, I'm running 15x7 p8 and don't want to run flares so I need late ute/120y ball joints to reduce track, I want to run the longer rod adjuster for faster steering response, and as yous are saying 1200tie rods will suit so I think I have kinda got it covered I "think" :)

Longer adjust rods won't help. The steering response is fixed by the length of the steering arms.

The W50 arms are slower

The H74 (1200) arms are faster, and can be machined to accept Stanza struts

H74 arms machined for Stanza struts, you can also buy already machined from Pitroad. See Knuckle Arm for dimensions.
