Quick question?

I am looking to lower the front of my ute roughly 2inches. At the moment it is completely stock as far as springs and struts go. So first of all if i replace the 1200 strut with a 120y one with king springs is this going to give me the lowered stance i would like or not. If not what is the best way to go about it. I dont want to spend massive $$$$ but at the same time i want it to handle well.

And if i am going to lower the back roughly 3.5inches from stock what is the best way of doing that. If i just get the springs set at that height i imagine they would be pretty flat. so maybe set the springs 2 inches lower and then 1 inch blocks? Im not exactly sure so advice would be helpful
All advice is greatly appreciated.
Cheers

The 120Y struts will not change the height. The B110 and 120Y struts are exactly the same, except for the strut top.

King's "Front Low" springs lowers vehicle approximately 30mm below standard, so a little more than 1".

the springs will lower the front even on the stock 1200 struts?
The king springs i have measure 28cm in length. I jacked the car up to get the weight of the strut and measure the stock spring that is on it. This was also 28cm though i assume it would still be under some compression?
Can someone confirm or deny this?
Cheers

if your lowering the back 2.5 inches then a 1 inch drop in the front is going to make it look like its pointing to the sky.

you may be in coil over territory almost.

the king springs hd is same as the stanza low.... so make sure the 1200 low is shorter then them.

personally they didnt even drop 1 inch in mine 8 years ago.... but by magic they came low from a mystery suspension fairy but would not be captive when the car was raised after that. think its name was makita or dewalt.. maybe

Call King Springs. Their regular 1200 springs are not supposed to change the ride height. Their "low" springs are supposed to lower it 30 cm.

You cannot tell by measuring the springs unless you know the exact rate, and the exact weight on each corner of the car.

I have king spring lows in the front of mine and the result wasn't dramatic. The springs are definitely physically shorter but they are also a lot firmer. Mine took a fair while to settle and lowered the car a little after this had occurred.

The back was firmer and flatter but I put 3" blocks in as well. The bumps stops become very close with too much lowering at the rear but you can also cut or grind them down.
