has anyone got a good 5 speed they are willing to sell in melbourne or tassie. Im after the one out of the sunny (B210?), with 5th as overdrive. I have been told that it
should bolt straight on with out too much fuss.

Regards,
Andrew

If making or modifying a crossmember, shortening the driveshaft and not having reverse lights is not too much fuss, then yes they do bolt straight in.

Lots of people like to say 'bolts straight in' but make sure to take what they say with a grain of salt, unless you know that they know what they're talking about and aren't
talking crap (ou 'besteira' para os portugues. PS- Daniel: Parabens no clube e gostei da sua pagina do 1200)

I might be wrong about having to shorten the driveshaft, I had to shorten mine but my engine sits with the rocker cover right back against the firewall (but not touching of course). The
gearstick hole had to be moved back a bit but this may not be ness. w/ engine in standard location. So maybe somehow you can bolt a 5spd straight in. I hasten to add that what I say is
by no means gospel, I'm just sharing my own experiences in the hope that it might help someone. (I'd hate to start another row like the 'coupe vs sedan' or 'A12s and A12As')

I think some people mean well when they say 'bolt straight in' but in reality they probably performed the mod 10 years ago and forgot about the 'cutting, grinding, welding, machining and
thinking' that also went into it
