Brake/strut upgrades

Have a look at that. Most of the larger struts will bolt staight in. If you dont want to modify anything then R31 struts probably have the best brakes. Or 180b struts with commodore calipers is pretty easy, only need to modify the disc and space that caliper out slightly.
Both will need larger than the standard 13s though

Double reservour master cylinder is the better way to go.

Your master should be double res already one for fronts one for rears. Might.be able to.be recoed.

Personally I hate boosters in the datsuns. Every one seems to have issues with them.

Surely if the pedals sinking that much there's a leak somewhere?

Have you replaced fluid and bled the system?

Fluid is either leaking externally or internally.

If you're constantly having to top up your fluid, then you have an external leak. The most likely culprit would be the rear wheel cylinders but if there's no evidence of leaked fluid in the drums, check every part of the braking system until you find the leak.

If the fluid level in the reservoir hasn't dropped, you have an internal leak. This means the primary seal in your master cylinder is buggered, allowing fluid to seep past it and back into the reservoir when the pedal is depressed. You can recon the master cylinder, but the easiest fix would be to get an exchange one. I swapped the master cylinder in my Navara about 3 months ago and the exchange part cost me about $200.
