Hi does anyone know the answer to this question. I bought a ARP head stud kit from a fellow member a while back. I was packing away all my engine parts as my project is on hold and I have noticed that 1 of the studs is longer than all the others but the thread is the same. Is this a mismatched set or is this normal

Ok thanks heaps guys. I have just learnt something. Another thing, is the main difference the length of the bolt and the size of the shaft of the bolt between the head and the thread reffering to the centre head bolt
