Hi

Im building a 79 1200 ute an on the hunt for new seats..... im not looking to put racing bucket seats in
just after a comfortable sport bucket seat ! i was wondering if anyone knows of a good set of seats to use ?
my last ute i had it had charade seats would'nt mind something different, if it means replacing or modifying seat
rails thats all good

I've used Mitsubishi FTO seats. A bit sporty but very comfortable. Mine are in a coupe, but I've also seen photos of them in a ute (here). Cost $250 from a wrecker, worth every penny.
They did require custom mounts though...

A decent seat for your datsun that will fit in fine and can use your datsun seat rails with no drama are monza seats.. yeah not the greatest brand but huge range of seats of all colours and leather but they sit low and use all the parts from your datsun no issue..

ive replaced the trans tunnel for mad dat to suit a ca box .... its lookin tight in their making the mod to suit is fine !! ill have a look at the FTO ones just not to keen on a racing seat something sporty an comfortable is what im looking for !!

personally id get the originals recovered depend how tall you are as your aware there's not a lot of room in them, iam getting my recovered should have them next month, cant wait!!

Hotrocket arnt you worried about ending up in the passenger seat when driving... Even with the stock A 12 in mine before I pulled her apart found it bloody hard to stay in the seat.... Makes a massive difference on car control when u are tightly tucked in....

ha wheres the fun in that been tucked in, gotta have room to breath lol, i do have apair of love hands seats not bad seat aswell,
getting in with no probs its that getting out #OOPS#s ya and my bloody knees up around my ears
